What our speed sensor is used for

Anti-slip systems improve the safety and efficiency of train operations.

They control brake slip and prevent the wheels from sliding on the rails. They detect abrupt changes in wheel speed and adjust the braking force accordingly to suit the current conditions.

The FAH52-product family features a stainless steel flange and proven cable protection for various wheel set applications. The robust design of housing and connection meet the degree of protection IP66 & 68/89.

Our FAHI52, FAHU52 and FAHS52 speed sensors

Specialised in anti-slip protection

The FAHI52 speed sensor

Optimised for the current loop

The FAHI52 speed sensor

Optimised for the current loop

Robust: Current output signals are less susceptible to electromagnetic interference, which can affect measurements. Additionally, wire break monitoring is easy to implement.

Safe: Galvanically isolated output signals allow you to build a redundant system and thereby compensate for failures. You can also power two separate systems.

Approved: Our FAHI52 speed sensor is approved for various anti-slip components and ensures reliable detection of the wheel set speed.

The FAHS52 speed sensor

Detect a standstill with 7 Volt medium voltage

Convenient: Our FAHS52 provides an additional status output, such as a 7-volt midpoint voltage. The sensor evaluates signals and indicates whether there is a standstill signal, and so does away with the need for an additional evaluation by the customer.

The FAHU52 speed sensor

Several systems in one housing

The FAHU52 speed sensor

Several systems in one housing

Flexible: Our FAHU52 is a multi-channel sensor with up to four channels/output signals. The output signals can be combined as current and voltage signals. The galvanic isolation of each signal is freely selectable.

Efficient: Instead of installing two sensors, functionality can be combined in one sensor.

Reliable: Galvanically isolated output signals enable the setup of a redundant system to compensate for failures. Alternatively, two separate systems can be powered.
